Stage one of the multi-million-dollar project includes the construction of 70 camping and caravan sites, a pool, tennis court, office building, residence, camp kitchen and other tourist facilities.

An additional 99 sites, two amenity buildings, pool and a camp kitchen will be added in stage two of the development.

Having taken three years in the planning and development stages, owners Gary and Kim Ekert thank the local community, businesses and MidCoast Council for supporting the project.

“We especially thank Councillor Karen Hutchinson who helped us through the hurdles,” Gary said.

“The Bulahdelah business community, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the residents have all been behind us, it’s been terrific.”

Gary told News Of The Area once completed, the new facility will boost the local economy and help brand Bulahdelah as a destination for holiday makers and travellers.

“The park will also create many new jobs during construction which will flow into permanent and part-time employment opportunities for locals once we are open,” he said.

Gary and Kim, who have owned the land for the project for four years, are now looking forward to seeing their new venture become a reality.

Gary said preparatory earthworks are currently underway and it is expected that Stage 1 of the park will be open for business within 12 months.
