At the Church’s recent ‘Skills’ morning, a group of local ladies along residents from Peter Sinclair Gardens Aged Care Facility helped make up some much needed donations of knitted goods. From scarves and beanies to blankets and teddies all were gratefully accepted Red Cross President Jennifer Wenham. “Thank you to those of you who have contributed to this project by donating yarn for us,” Ruth Calcutt said. “The next time at ‘Skills Day’ we will be again working towards another worthwhile charity when we will be again packing shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse,” Ruth said. If you are interested in participating, either in donations or packing, you can contact Ruth Calcutt on 4997 9726. Other happenings at the Church include the “Live! Live! Live!’ music afternoon every third Thursday of the month. It’s a free concert from 2 pm until 4pm and includes afternoon tea. By Margie TIERNEY
