A new restaurant offering modern Australian cuisine is now open at Newcastle Airport. Mach One Restaurant and Bar is part of the Mercure Hotel and welcomes locals for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Simon Glover, the hotels general manager told News of The Area, “We offer an all day dining menu which runs from 10am until 11pm in the evening.”

“This menu has items like pizzas, burgers, and the best club sandwich you have ever seen.”

The lunch and dinner menu has been changing regularly since the hotels grand opening in August 2016.

Open 7 days a week, the restaurant is hoping to attract nearby residents with their local lunch special.

Designed for locals who work in and around the hotel, the restaurant is offering takeaway meals for $12.50.

These meals can be ordered in advance so they are ready for collection at midday.

The restaurant also offers an all you can eat breakfast for $28.

This is available everyday and includes Nespresso coffee.

“We are open for business and want to welcome locals to come in and dine,” said Mr Glover.

The 95-room hotel prides itself on hiring exclusively local, creating a rush of job opportunities for local citizens in the hospitality industry.

The hotel is located directly across from the Metro petrol station and is visible from the street.
