Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au Dozer, first approached his parents, Braydon and Kelly, saying that this looked like a fun thing to do as part of staying healthy and getting fit, whilst helping to raise some funds helping kids with cancer have a better life. He went on to say that over 600 children are diagnosed with Cancer each year and unfortunately three die each week. With staggering statistics like these, Dozer’s parents couldn’t say no and it wasn’t long before the Camp Eagle Eye MTB team was created. The team currently consists of three members, with Dozer seeking help from his fellow Scout Members and their families either via donation or by coming on board as one of the Camp Eagle Eye MTB team members. You don’t have to be super fit or even an Olympian bike rider to join in, you can choose how many kilometres you want to achieve and also a target sponsorship goal. This keen Scout plans to ride 200km during the month of October and is hoping to raise at least $500 to go towards this worthy cause. “This could have easily been me or one of your own children or grandchildren with cancer, so why not jump on your bike, get out into the great outdoors, get healthy, get happy and help kick cancer’s butt for kids that aren’t so lucky,” said Dozer.
