A man on the ship was suffering from a medical condition that required a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and NSW Health doctor to be winched onto the vessel.
The patient was stabilised before he was winched into the helicopter and transported to John Hunter Hospital in
Newcastle.

The Aircrew and medical team praised the ship’s company for their role in ensuring this mission could be undertaken safely to allow the patient to receive the medical treatment required.
