A 29 lot residential subdivision has been approved for the West Coffs area by Coffs Harbour City Council.

The new subdivision in Veduta Drive, Coffs Harbour, will include new roads and reserves and will cost $1.75 million to construct.

The development application for the subdivision was initially submitted to Council in November, 2018.

Vacant property on Veduta Drive will be subdivided into 29 residential lots and residue lots as the next stage of the residential development of the area adjoining the Council stormwater detention basin.

The subdivision will also dedicate land to the west of the detention basin land to Council as public reserve as well as land in the south-east corner adjoining a creek line, in accordance with the West Coffs Masterplan.

Construction of the project will be staged with Stage One works to comprise Lots 1-8, 21-31 and land transfer/boundary adjustment, and Stage Two works to comprise Lots 9-20 and Council land acquisition.

Coffs Harbour West’s expected 2021 population of 6,204 is forecast to grow to 8,497 by 2036, indicating a population change of around 37% over this time.
