Or media@newsofthearea.com.au[/caption] Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE Owner and pharmacist Sandra Toth said the secret to her success in business is simple: ‘treat everyone as part of the family’. “We pride ourselves on delivering good old fashioned customer service and going out of our way to help,” Ms Toth said. “We have been able to build a strong rapport with the community through services such as pick-up and delivery, in and after hours. “These are just some of the reasons we have been able to trade successfully for 30 years in Port Stephens as an independent pharmacy.” Ms Toth said that the pharmacy, located on Soldiers Point Road in the old Salamander shopping strip, employed five staff including well-known pharmacist Kerry Schiemer, who has worked in the Bay for many years. “We offer a wide range of products and services such as the Webster pack, which makes life easier for people to manage their medicine doses and timelines. “We also stock diabetes supplies and do home medication reviews and medicine checks.” Ms Toth said the pharmacy would again this year be participating in Stroke Awareness Week (4-10 September) by offering a free service targeting those people who tend to avoid trips to their doctor. “We can organise blood pressure checks free of charge with no bookings required. Even the fittest people can have high blood pressure and be at risk of suffering a stroke.” Wanda Beach Pharmacy also has a giftware store, featuring a range of gifts all year round, as well as for important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, Father’s and Mother’s days and of course Christmas and New Year.
