Walk for William Tyrrell in the Great Lakes MidCoast LGA (overall news) by NOTA - August 19, 2015August 19, 2015 William Tyrrell disappeared from the home of his grandmother about 10.30am Friday 12 September 2014, at Kendall on the NSW north coast. Marking twelve months since this horrifying incident, a Walk 4 William event is being organised across Australia, and the world, to raise awareness of William’s disappearance and hopefully prompt the public’s memories in order to gain any information relating to his abduction. As yet, there does not appear to be an event scheduled within the Great Lakes area. The Myall Coast News Of The Area is calling on organisations or individuals to take up the challenge of arranging a Walk 4 William in the Myall region. There is a website, www.whereswilliam.org which shows all the necessary information to become involved. We must all be vigilant in the protection of children and initiatives, such as this, raise public awareness and who knows what may come from the nation getting together in the search for this much loved and missed young boy. The News Of The Area will give coverage for this event and publish any news relating to anyone willing in taking up the reins and organise the walks in any of our regional locations. Anyone from Tea Gardens Hawks Nest, Karuah, Bulahdelah, Nerong, Stroud, Forster, Tuncurry or surrounds can make contact with the Where’s William Organisation via the website and get something happening in your local area. Then make contact with the NOTA and we will ensure your local walk is given space promoting this very important event. Police and William’s parents do believe William could be alive and that someone knows something about his disappearance. Hopefully community awareness and human nature will coincide with some tid-bit of information coming forward to help police and the Tyrrell family get their little boy back. The walks are set to take place at 10.30am on Saturday 12 September and you could be part of something that has affected us all in one way or another. The NOTA is dedicated to assisting with the publishing of any material relating to the Where’s William campaign and encourage people to take up the job of organising something in their local area.
I’ll be getting in contact with Where’s William tomorrow and registering a walk 4 William in the Tea Gardens / Hawkes Nest area. We need to step up for the little man Reply
