Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE “We have signs in the window which clearly state the types of items we accept and those we cannot take,” she said. “Sadly, people still dump rubbish at our doorstep and steal items from our bins and from boxes left near the door,” she added. “Dumped goods have included dirty disposable nappies, grass clippings, mattresses, broken crockery, electrical items and furniture.” “On top of this we get shoplifters stealing items of clothing from inside the store itself,” she said. “This costs us time and money which means that we can’t do as much for the poor and needy.” “The public can help us by keeping an eye out for the dumpers and thieves and recording their car number plates or taking pictures on their mobile phones,” she said. “We will forward these to the police,” Carol told News Of The Area. “We would very much prefer residents to bring donated items in during business hours and our staff will assess them on the spot.
