Veteran and Community Grants program MidCoast LGA (overall news) by NOTA - July 29, 2015 Veterans and their families will benefit from Government funding under the Veteran and Community Grants program according to Member for Paterson, Bob Baldwin. Mr Baldwin said funding worth $7,627.27 under the programme for the Karuah Sub-branch of the Returned and Services League of Australia would help to enrich the lives of local veterans and their families. “I congratulate the Karuah Sub-branch of the Returned and Services League on its commitment to improving the lives of our national treasures,” Mr Baldwin said. Ex-service and community organisations, veteran groups and private organisations that contribute to the health and welfare of the veteran community are all eligible to apply for funding through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ Veteran and Community Grants program. “The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the Karuah Sub-branch of the Returned and Services League of Australia ensure veterans and their families receive services, support and opportunities that allow them to continue active roles in their local communities,” Mr Baldwin said.
