Children at Brighter Beginnings Early Learning Centre in Tea Gardens have been preparing love-themed craft ahead of Valentine’s Day.

“We’ve been telling the children it’s a special day where we tell the special people in our lives that we love them,” Brighter Beginnings nominated supervisor Narineh Siakos said.

“Sometimes we will make heart shaped cookies on the day and this year we will all dress in red,” she said.
Restaurants in town are also getting ready for the day of love, preparing special menus for those wishing to wine and dine the apple of their eye.

“The way to your loved one’s heart is through their stomach,” owner of Tillermans Restaurant Kerry Hodges said.
Tillerman’ will be hosting a relaxed, intimate dinner starting with a complementary glass of Italian Prosecco or a beer followed by a specially created four course degustation menu.

Romance is the theme of 2015 for Tillermans, with owners Kerry and Peter Hodges hosting the weddings of both their children at the restaurant this year.

Those wanting to dine on the water this Valentine’s Day can enjoy a five course degustation starting from 7pm at the Tea Gardens Boatshed.

Tea Gardens Hotel Motel will also be hosting a special dinner on the evening with entertainment provided by the Booze Bros.
