Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Catherine Cusack said Transport for NSW sought comments from the community and stakeholders on the proposed route options for the project in September 2019. “Potential route options include following the current alignment and building a new road along a different alignment,” Ms Cusack said. “Transport for NSW will now explore other route options suggested by the community, and will go back out to the community with another Have Your Say in mid-2020.” Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the upgrade would change the way motorists move in and around the Hunter region. “The NSW Government is committed to improving safety and travel times along Nelson Bay Road by investing $275 into the corridor, with the Williamtown to Bobs Farm stretch identified as the next priority,” Mr Toole said. Following a review of the comments, a Community Consultation Report has been prepared, which summarises the feedback and our responses.
