This was the first season playing cricket for four of the six-member team and their first year playing together making the season’s results even more spectacular. The Under 10 Blues members are Tyrese Flood, Brysen Flood, William Montgomery, Joseph Pfeifer, Oliver Lawrence and Lincoln Karnilwicz and were coached to success by Matt Flood. Their performances over the season were very impressive as shown by their individual stats. Tyrese Flood, on three occasions bowled a five-wicket haul, meaning Tyrese bowled out five wickets in a single innings, along with a hattrick and three innings of 50 runs not out. Joseph Pfeifer took two hattricks and made an innings of 50 runs not out. Oliver Lawrence batted two innings of 50 runs not out. William Montgomery who is the team’s wicket keeper kept the opposition’s run rate low making great catches and stumpings. Brysen Flood took an impressive 23 wickets for the season. Lincoln Karnilwicz showed his worth as an allrounder, hitting eleven 4s and and finishing the season with maiden overs to his credit from to his bowling. All six boys are in the top 15 for the Maitland and District Cricket Association’s One Day Cricket Competition Champion Player Award for their division with Tyrese Flood currently in the number one spot to take the annual award.
