Truck driver sought as possible witness to double fatal crash at State’s Central West National News by NOTA - November 13, 2014 Police are appealing for a truck driver who may have witnessed a fatal crash at Molong, in the state’s Central West, earlier in the week to contact investigators. About 5pm, Tuesday 11 November 2014, 16-year-old learner driver, Savanah Lang was driving a Ford Laser on Shades Creek Road, with her 39-year-old mother, Kelly Landers, in the passenger seat. The Ford and a Subaru Outback, containing a woman, a one-year-old boy and a newborn baby girl, collided at the intersection of Euchareena Road. The teenage girl and her mother, who were travelling in the Ford, died at the scene while the occupants of the Subaru were not injured. Police from Canobolas Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the collision and have seized both vehicles for examination. Investigators are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and urge them to contact Orange Detectives on (02) 6363 6399 or Crime Stoppers. They are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a white Kenworth Prime Mover towing a low-loader trailer with a green tractor on the back, and, believe the driver may have witnessed the collision.
