Trevor Jennings kicks of the Progress Meets for 2015 Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest by NOTA - February 4, 2015February 4, 2015 Hawks Nest Tea Gardens Progress Association meetings will resume for the year on Monday, February 9. The meeting will see councillor Len Roberts and Myall River Action Group member Peter Pritchard present their argument for a single authority to oversee and manage all maritime issues in Port Stephens. This follows the bureaucratic bungling that recently occurred in getting approval for the dredging of the eastern channel of the entrance to the Myall River. The agenda will also include updated reports from many community and business minded groups in town. “We will also be hearing update reports on the Hawks Nest Town Centre Review, North Hawks Nest, the fate of the coral trees in Marine Drive, Tea Gardens and plans for commencement of a cycleway upgrade and an informative bushland track in Hawks Nest,” president of the association Trevor Jennings said. All residents of Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest are invited to attend the association’s monthly meetings. The next meeting will be held in the Old Library building located on Booner Street, Hawks Nest. The meeting will commence at 7pm.
