The Probus Club is an association for active members of the community and for those no longer working full time to join together in clubs for a new lease of life. Probus is a community service activity of Rotary clubs. The Club’s purpose is to advance intellectual and cultural interests amongst adults, and to provide regular opportunities to progress healthy minds and active bodies through social interaction and activities, expand members interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends. The Tomaree Ladies Probus Club delivers on all of the Probus tenants with the ladies enjoying many outings and activities throughout the year. Recently the club celebrated the Christmas season together by holding a lunch where the members and their spouses came together. Julie McAllister told News Of The Area, “It was wonderful to see all the members getting together to celebrating Christmas.” The event was the final one for the year with the Tomaree Ladies Probus Club already set for action in 2019.
