THE Tomaree Ladies Probus Club held their Christmas Party this week and they were keen to celebrate making it to the end of 2020 and ushering in a brighter future in 2021.

Over 60 members and their partners gathered at the Nelson Bay Golf Club.

Julie McAllister told News Of The Area, “It was wonderful for the Tomaree Ladies Probus Club to be able to get together with their partners to celebrate Christmas and the end of 2020.”

At the event, Club President, Kitty Phipps, remarked how wonderful it was to be together again after such a difficult year and indeed it was a happy and very special day.

“We’d like to send our special thanks to Marilyn Jennings for organising the event everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Lucky seat prizes were a highlight on the day.

The Tomaree Ladies Probus Club are keen to see the New Year in and have a range of trips and outings in the planning stage for 2021.

Although plans will remain somewhat fluid and are yet to be finalised due to COVID-19 restrictions.

One outing that is on the calendar for the ladies to look forward to is a High Tea at Heaven Scent Gardens in Salt Ash in February.

Heavens Gardens is a delightful property with a lake and boardwalk and elegantly manicured gardens ready to explore.

The property has a large outdoor shelter which is perfect for COVID-19 safe gatherings.
