‘Keep Australia Beautiful’ works across Australia, identifying communities that use their volunteers to enhance their community through Tidy Towns/Sustainable Communities.

The 2018 awards presentation was held in the township of the overall winner of 2017, Orange, New South Wales on 9-10 November.

Tilligerry Peninsula Landcare Committee entered four projects and won the following:

Highly Commended for the Youth Environment Award, which was awarded to Belle Nikki.

Highly Commended for the Tilligerry Wildlife Corridors planting for koalas.

Highly Commended for the Tanilba Bay Walk Projects.

Winner for the Tanilba Bay Loop Path.

They also took home an impressive fifth place in the overall placings for population category 6001 to 10,000.

Well done Tilligerry Peninsula Landcare Committee on these fantastic results.
