A power house act with soaring vocals, big guitars, sweet keyboards and synths and a tight rhythm section – the band just loves to mix it up to prevent becoming stale. So at any show expect to hear a diverse set of hits from a diversity of artists.

Although the Urge now mainly focuses on doing select shows in and around their home town of Newcastle, the band has no plans for retirement any time soon.

The boys enjoy a continuing popularity at the many regional venues in which they have residencies.

Boasting players from such notable acts as Jezabels Trash, The Smarts, First Degree, Spank n the Monkey, Radio Ga Ga, Punkfish and The Idols.

The Urge features: Muzz Roach – Vocals, Ross Flynn – Guitars, Vocals, Kane Starkey – Bass, Vocals, Gavin Hodge – Keyboards, Percussion and Chris Lowe – Drums. Lacklustre is not a term you will ever hear associated with “the Urge”.

The Urge are performing at Shoal Bay Country Club on Saturday 11 May from 9.00pm.
