On Thursday 15 December 2022 Bowra Street, Nambucca Heads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4:00pm until 10:00pm and become a Christmas wonderland.

Thanks to the Lions Club of Nambucca Heads, The Nambucca Valley Rotary Club, The Nambucca Heads Chamber of Commerce, the Nambucca Heads RSL Club Ltd and the Nambucca Valley Council a spectacular evening of entertainment for the whole family will begin on the pedestrian only Bowra Street at 5:00pm.

The evening’s entertainment will include presentations from the Frank Partridge VC and Nambucca Heads Public Schools and some surprise acts as well as a DJ on hand to keep the party going.

Lions Les McDonald and Don Parveez told News Of The Area they have had official confirmation from the North Pole that Santa Claus himself will be arriving at 7:00pm and make his way along Bowra Street to meet everybody.

There will be food vans on the street and many of Bowra Street’s cafes will also remain open for this special event.

Throughout the evening the Lions will be running their famous Chocolate Wheel where many many lucky people will walk away with a Christmas ham.

Lions will also launch their Australia Day Raffle and funds raised will go toward Parkinson Research.

For the littles ones there will be a petting zoo to visit and the not so little ones can even challenge a mechanical bull right there on Bowra Street.

President of the Nambucca Heads Chamber of Commerce, Monique Kelly, told News Of The Area, “Businesses on Bowra Street are right behind this great event as what we all need now is real community and that is just what the Nambucca Christmas Festival is all about.”
