The Lions Club of Stroud thanks Local Emergency Services

Brigades from Wards River, Monkerai, Stroud Road, Stroud, Booral and Limeburners Creek were all present.

THROUGHOUT the month of October, with the assistance of many local businesses, the Lions Club of Stroud sold mini cakes on the basis that for every one sold, one would go to the local Rural Fire Service or State Emergency Service crews.

The community was great and devoured lots of snacks.

On the evening of Friday 11 December, as part of Stroud’s community Christmas celebrations on Cowper Street, the Lions Club invited six local RFS brigades to receive the donated mini cakes.

Brigades from Wards River, Monkerai, Stroud Road, Stroud, Booral and Limeburners Creek were all present to receive a delicious box of mini cakes each.

Arrangements will be made to pass on the goodies to the Girvan RFS Brigade and the local SES.

Stroud Lions is now considering making this an annual event.
