With over $70,000 in prizes up for grabs, the annual golf day was well attended. One highlight of the event was surprise guest speaker Daryl Brohman who also co-conducted the charity auction. Daryl, nicknamed The Big Marn, is a retired Australian former rugby league footballer and coach of the 1970s and 1980s, now best known as a commentator and media personality. Brohman played league for the Penrith Panthers and the Queensland rugby league teams. Event sponsors Latitude One fielded two teams of residents from the newly opened lifestyle community at Anna Bay. Alongside them supporting local youth were other local sponsors, AMP Control, Bay Boat Sales, Horizons Golf Resort, Port Stephens Toyota, Saddingtons, Soldiers Point Marina, St George Bank, Terrace Timber Trusses, The Rotary Club of Salamander Bay, Valley Homes and Varley Group. The three hole in ones were hotly contested with the boat nearly going off with one player clipping the hole, sadly neither the boat, car or the $20,000 cash were won on the day. The Latitude One Real Futures Foundation 2018 Charity Golf Day raised over $17,000 for local youth programs. The Real Futures Foundation is a not for profit charity that exists solely to support the youth of Port Stephens.
