On Sunday 10 March some of the best in this emerging sport will be playing at Horizons Golf Resort.

Players wishing to participate in the Asia Cup which is being held in November must be registered Foot golfers.

They first must qualify in The Australian Open Footgolf series and become a World Ranking player.

The Australian Open which is qualifying round for the Asia Cup will kick off at Horizons Golf Resort at Salamander Bay at 3pm with social play commencing at 3.40pm.

Bob Westbury of Horizons Golf Resort told News Of The Area, “Footgolf is a sport that anyone can play, if you can kick a soccer ball, you can play footgolf.”

Footgolf is played just like regular golf, if it is a par 3 hole you get three kicks to get the soccer ball into the special footgolf holes.

The Footgolf holes are set away from the greens and are covered during regular golf.

“This is a great way to see the professionals in action, and try the sport yourself,” he said.
