AFL Nines is a nine-a-side version of Australian Rules, played on a smaller field which accommodates the smaller teams.
It is a non-contact version of the game where a one-handed touch is counted as a tackle, with prior opportunity still in play.
Games feature two 20-minute halves, and three female players must be on the field at all times.
