Afterschool programs can boost academic performance, reduce risky behaviors, promote self confidence, and provide a safe, structured environment for the children of working parents. Supported study environments can assist with improving classroom behavior, school attendance, academic aspirations, and can reduce the likelihood that a student will drop out. School representative Luella Fagan told News Of The Area, “We have had wonderful feedback about this program, and we are really looking forward to its commencement.” “We are lucky to have such dedicated teachers on staff, who are willing to give up even more time away from home to help our students.” “We certainly are a school that has the best interests of our students at heart,” she said.
