Tuesday 30th January: The start of Pennant Season. Our Grade 2 Teams bowled at home against Lemon Tree Passage. One team had a win and the other a loss, overall they gained 4 points. A similar story for the Grade 4 side versus Soldiers Point (Blue), a win and a loss also making a tally of 4. Format for social bowls a game of Triples and a game of Pairs. Wilma Drake, (“swinger “lead) Pauline Perry and Bev Stephens had a convincing victory against Wilma Drake, Lyn Nightingale and Dale Winter 22 v 11. A much closer contest between Ingrid Luck and Pam Gilchrist 14 defeating Bev Dunn and Sheril Johnson 13.

Thursday 1st January. There was no social bowls played. The Grade 4 Pennant teams both had wins against the Heaton Birmingham bowlers, giving our side 5 points. Early days yet, but with 9 points our team are holding the lead in Grade 4 Section 1. Unfortunately the Grade 2 team lost both their games at Heaton Birmingham.

Social bowls as usual on Tuesday and Thursday during the Pennant Season. Sunday bowls continues, open to all.

Names to be submitted by 0930 play commences 1000. A game of bowls, BBQ lunch and loads of fun for just $12.
