Thursday 6th December: Break Up Day, President v Secretary Day and a day when we remembered our members who have passed away. Notably Nola Jackson who died unexpectedly this time last year and past President Anne McKenzie. In honour of Nola some of our members wore a “bucket” hat. Dress code for the day was Christmas attire. The teams for President v Secretary were decided by players picking a paddle pop stick. The winner of the trophy this year was President Robyn Webster her teams gaining 66 v the Secretary’s (Karen McPhie) teams 52. Prior to play 2 “Spiders” were held the winners here were Karen Green and Lynda Richards. Following play all members retired to the clubhouse and enjoyed a sumptuous lunch catered for by our hard working social committee. Well done Dale Winter, Ingrid Luck, Bette Saillard and Sheril Johnson we appreciate your efforts. Bowls will resume on Tuesday 8th January, 2019. By Lynda RICHARDS Robyn Webster and Karen McPhie with the Trophy. Deyonne Page, Judy McGavock, Jill McBride and Olive McKeown.
