Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club News

 

CONGRATULATIONS to Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club Grade 4 Blue Pennant side winning through to the Post Sectional Finals.

The Finals were due to be played at Soldiers Point Bowling Club on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 April (No results at time of publication).

Our ladies will be bowling in the afternoon on Tuesday and the morning on the 15.

In grade 2 of Pennants there is only 1 section so our TGWBC side was due to play again on Tuesday 13 April.

The winner of this section will be determined on this day.

Despite great bowling by our side they are out of contention to win a Flag.

Grade 4 Yellow didn’t make the Finals but have proved to be a challenge to their opponents.

The results of last week’s games are as follows:

Tuesday 6 April: Grade 2, TG 43 v Soldiers Point 35, 5 points to TG. Grade 4 Yellow TG, 53 v New Lambton 23 a win, a big 5 points to us. Grade 4 Blue, a Bye

Thursday 8 April: Grade 2, TG 37 v Fingal Bay 35 a side win but 1 team had a loss so 4 points gained. Grade 4
Yellow Lemon Tree Passage 46 v TG 35, a point to our side, 4 to the opposition. Grade 4 Blue 42 v Adamstown 35, 4 more points to our side.

Friday 9th April: Grade 2 TG 39 v Fingal Bay 43, 1 point to us, 4 to Fingal Bay.

Congratulations to Robyn Beaumont and Dot Dallas who have been selected to represent our Club at the inaugural NDWBA City to Coast Challenge being held at Stockton Bowling Club on the 14 May.

Coming events: Friday 16 April Post Pennant Lunch plus celebrating Bev Rhodes special “0” birthday.

Monday 19 April NDWBA Triples, good luck to our 2 TGWBC teams entered in this event.

The Semi Final and the Final of this Championship will be held at Tea Gardens Country Club and Motel on Thursday 22nd April.
