ON Monday 6 December Presentation Night was held, this is a combined event, the Men’s and Women’s Bowling Club.

Congratulations to all those winners/runners up of the Club Championships and from TGWBC a special well done to Robyn Beaumont for her win in the Major Singles, making her Club Champion for two consecutive years.

I have to mention Dale Winter and Robyn Beaumont were winners in the Major Pairs, yet again 2020 & 2021.

Tuesday 7 December: No social bowls due to rain.

Thursday 9 December: Break up Day combined with President v Secretary Day.

A random draw of teams except for the President and Secretary who were opposing Skips.

Five teams of Triples went out to do battle, unfortunately only one team playing for the President had a win; they were Dawn May, Francis Betar and Robyn Webster the result you can guess.

The Secretary, (Karen McPhie) defeated the President (Deyonne Page) 85 v 68 the first time in a few years that the Secretary teams have been the winners.

Finally just have to say a big thank you to Tea Gardens Country Club and Motel without your support we would not exist, also to First National Real Estate Hawks Nest, Major Sponsors to the Women’s and Men’s Bowling Club and to The Garden Eatery for not only supporting us with our Tuesday raffle prize but catering delicious cuisine for our special events.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year, back to bowls for the ladies Tuesday 18 January, 2022, COVID permitting.
