There must have been a “pairs” game as Greg Smith and Noel Jackson took third place on +39. Great effort! 29 July: If there has been a better day for playing bowls this winter, I’ve yet to see it. Friday 3-Bowl Open Jackpot Pairs was played today with 24 players participating in fine and sunny conditions. With a “pot” of $420.00 up for grabs the aim of each side was to at least win their games for a chance at the big money. The sides were very even and it made for some good quality bowling. There was a three-way tie for first place determined by the side with the greatest margin. All recorded a +9 score and a countback was needed..
