The bowling organisers came up with a new format from today whereby the starting time will be half an hour earlier and instead of two games of 12 ends there was one game of 21 ends.

These new arrangements were well received by bowlers and will stay in place throughout the remaining summer months.

The winners on the grass green were; John Carey, Ross Barry and Danny Johnson.

The synthetic green winners were; Lance Atkins, Ray Sullivan and Greg Pearson.

The lucky card draw went Barry Drayton, Merv Mills and Ron Webster ( a new prize this year).
