Before play, a short commemoration was held around the Club flagpole with the flag at half-mast. Members from the Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club then took on the male members in a “Shirts V Skirts”, Trophy competition. It will be remembered, although many men are trying to forget, that the ladies won this event last year and they were out for revenge! The bowling was fierce with no quarter taken or conceded. The match score was even but it must be said that the “honour of the regiment” was restored with a resounding 58-39 score line favouring the men. In other news: Presentation night for 2020 will be held on Monday night 7th December, commencing at 6pm for 6.30pm start. The pennants selectors are still looking for players so if you are interested please get your name on the board. The last day of scheduled bowls for 2020 will be on Wednesday 16th December where it will be combined with our Christmas lunch.
