PARENTS take note! Your local library may help solve the “I’m bored” syndrome this upcoming school holidays.

Tea Gardens Library is holding a range of activities over the next 2 weeks,  designed to entertain and engage school-aged children.

“Our first activity is a magic show and balloon tricks, the second is a free activity, good old fashioned board games and fun in groups,” Librarian Chris Shelly told the News Of The Area.

“They are always fun, they give visiting children as well as local children a chance to interact with some children they know and some they don’t,” said Chris.

The school holiday program has been running at Tea Gardens Library for well over a decade.

But Chris warns, bookings are essential for the activities being held on the first and second Wednesdays of the school holidays.

“The magic show is a paid activity at $5 per child, and we can only take up to 20 children.  The board games afternoon is free, but again bookings and numbers are limited and at both activities,  children under 8 must be supervised.”

Reservations can be made by calling Tea Gardens Library on 4997 1265 or for more information about your local library go to www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au and click through to the Great Lakes Region.
