She’s taking the plunge and joining the World’s Greatest Shave, lopping off her locks to raise money to support people living with blood cancer.

“I did it around 10 years ago and thought it’s time to do it again,” Linda said.

Linda is making a fun day of it, inviting the community to a sausage sizzle at her pet shop on Myall Street.

“There’ll also be balloons for the kids and an auction for the privileged bidder to shave my head any way they wish,” Linda said.

It’s an all day event with bidding starting at around noon on Friday 15 March.

Anyone can join the campaign, and you don’t have to go all the way as in shave, you can colour your hair or even wax.

So far the ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ has raised more than 4 and a half million dollars to help give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need, as well as funding vital research to help more people survive the disease.
