Port Stephens/Hunter Chief Inspector Anthony Townsend will lead the meeting which is being held at the Tea Gardens Public School at 6 pm on Thursday 13 December.

“It’s an opportunity for the community to speak face to face with Police Management,” Tea Gardens Senior Constable Dave Coyle told News Of The Area.

Chief Inspector Townsend said, “Police will be there to listen to the local community so they can raise issues directly with local officers, the Crime Prevention Office, Highway Patrol and Management.”

Former Port Stephens Superintendent Chris Craner started the community forum initiative several years ago.

“Meetings have been held across the Raymond Terrace sector throughout the year at Dungog, Clarence Town and Stroud,” Inspector Townsend said.

Police say they’ll be happy to answer questions around ‘manning’, the $1million upgrades to the Tea Gardens and Karuah Police Stations or any other community concerns.

Tea Gardens Public School is located at 23 Witt Street, opposite the Anglican Church.
