Bookings have been solid for holiday lettings so far and it appears it’s going to be another bumper season for local Real Estate Agents and local retailers alike.

Speaking with Myall Coast News, Dylon Tennyson from Tea Gardens Real Estate said, “Bookings for our 135 holiday properties are VERY strong over the forthcoming Christmas holidays.”

“Many families are returning to Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest for their Christmas holidays and have booked early …having had such a wonderful experience in Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest last year,” he said.

“The profile of holiday makers continues to be family groups with parents, grandparents and small children,” he said.

Rick Wraight, owner of Tea Gardens Real Estate said, “The recently introduced holiday rental code of conduct has assisted holiday rental.”

“This  code has been adopted by great Lakes Council as a platform for holiday rental behaviour. It provides guests with a set of standards that they must abide by and provides peace of mind for adjoining neighbours and permanent residences alike,” he said.

Rick said that any holiday rental agency that does not adhere to this code of conduct may expect Great Lakes Council to have particular interest in their operation as a holiday rental agency.
