She had fallen victim to motor neurone disease (MND) and was just 45 years of age. Currently, there is no known cure for this devastating condition. Colleagues gave tribute Dr Worthington’s dedication describing her as passionate, enthusiastic and empathetic and as a practitioner who inspired her patients with her holistic approach. The family was overwhelmed at the outpouring of emotion after news of her passing spread. This came from colleagues and former patients alike. A foundation to assist with MND research was set up in her memory and contributions now sit at some $63,000 with a target of $100,000 in mind. After reaching the $50,000 mark the foundation was able to officially bear her name. Those wishing to contribute to this worthy cause can gain more information on: makingadifference.gofundraise.com.au
