“Many people enjoyed the Grey Nomads Golf, the evening with local historian, Jan Winn and John “Stinker” Clarke,“ Lorraine Lock said.

“The Stalls and musical entertainment together with Bob the Bush Poet at both Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens also proved popular.”

GreyFest, following on from the Grey and Thespian Mardi Gras, incorporated some of the most popular events from the past two years and added some new highlights through Seniors Week.

“The Bush Dinner Dance at the Hawks Nest Golf Club attracted almost 100 people and the ‘Australia our Home’ concert with Michael Harvey, Barbara Lyle and the Myall U3A Choir in Tea Gardens attracted another big audience,” Lorraine said.

GreyFest also raised over $1,400 for the Black Dog Institute from raffles, sale of donated caps and a generous donation from Michael Harvey.

Lorraine added, “Many thanks to the Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens Progress Association’s hardworking GreyFest Committee for making it such a success this year.”
