The entertaining show is a supervised activity and suitable for children aged five to 12. Cost for the show is $5 a child and bookings are essential. The magic comes to the Library on Wednesday 18 January from 2.30pm to 4pm. To get your ticket you can call the Tea Gardens Library on 4997 1265 or go online via http://midcoast.greatlakes.nsw.gov.au/Events-Activities/Tea-Gardens-Magic-Show-Face-Painting. A reminder too that it is still possible for your children to join the popular Summer Reading Club at libraries across the MidCoast region. The theme for this year’s program is ‘Superheroes and Villains’, and it is open to children in three age groups. “There’s zero to five, primary school and high school groups,” Carol said. “With the pre-schoolers, mums and dads read to them and it’s just as valuable as kids doing independent reading,” Carol said. Holidaymakers can also join the club as long as they are members of the Midcoast Library scheme. “They’ve got to read 10 books to win one of the prizes,” Carol said. Children and their families can register online at www.summerreadingclub.org.au and pick up a reading log and goodies pack from their local Library until Saturday 7 January.
