SUCCESS yet again for Chris Michalak as he has just taken out the 2017 Jack’s Surfboards South Bay Showdown in El Porto, Manhattan Beach California.

Chris told News Of The Area, “Surfing is my arena, it’s where I can get out there and let it all go.”

“It’s my happy place, surfing saves lives.”

Chris’s next stop on the tour is Huntington Beach, then Barbados, then he’ll fly home to meet up with his girlfriend Kia and head off to the Mad Hueys competition in Keramas, Bali.

All of this could not be possible without the support of his amazing family and friends.

Luke Michalak,  Chris’s coach said, “I’m stoked my brother is chasing his dreams, he is all heart and hard work,  I’m super proud of him, he’s really stepped up and taken the bull by the horns, putting Port Stephens on the world stage and setting a benchmark for all the young groms out there showing them that it is okay to chase your dreams and work hard for your goals because they could be closer than you think.”

Luke explained he is working in with two amazing business women and great local girls Sammy Knaggs (Core Central) and Jessica Sharp (Matters Speaking).

Together they are working on a big event around the end of June, where there will be motivational speakers, prizes, giveaways, drinks, food and entertainment with all proceeds to go to support Chris and his dreams.
