The Championship Fours, Triples, Pairs and Singles are also over for the year, and the mixed pairs has just wound up. While some of the Club’s regular winners have figured heavily in the victories, a new Club Major Singles Champion, in the person of Brenden (Barney) Revell has emerged. Barney is another young champion that has shown the depth and youth that will see Karuah remain a force in the Bowls District for many years. The Clubs members have a great reputation for welcoming all members of the bowls community to Karuah and are happy to share their picturesque facilities at the Karuah RSL Club with local or visiting players from novice to expert level. While keen to foster the top end of the bowling community the Club has a strong focus this year of assisting those who are either new to the sport, or those who have never had the chance to play. Any one wishing to try lawn bowls is invited to ring the club on 02 4997 5297 to find out more about opportunities to receive free lessons and coaching in the friendliest of environments. Long story short, Karuah has a great Lawn Bowls Club, arguably the best grass green on the coast, and has welcoming and friendly members who would love for you to come bowl with us.
