Sponsorship grants by MidCoast Water announced

MidCoast Water runs uphill for local beneficiaries with announcement of regional sponsorship grants.

Several sporting and community organisations in the Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest area have benefited from MidCoast Waters annual community sponsorship program.

Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club was one of many local area recipients with an allocation of $1,500 towards the replacement of their radios.

Media Officer Deb Booth said, “On behalf of our club, I thank MidCoast Water for their ongoing commitment to our club.”

The Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Lioness club were also appreciative recipients being sponsored $600 towards the annual Australia Day breakfast.

Vivienne Boyd, president of the club added her thanks saying, “We are so pleased that MidCoast Water has been able to provide support to our club and help keep us helping others.”

Other Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest winners were: Free Clinic Bus $2000, Hawks Nest Tea Gardens Progress Association will receive  $1000 for the beautification of Hawks Nest village square, Myall Coast Toy Library $1000, Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Family Research Group $1000, and Myall Masters Swimming Club $750.

Darryl Hancock of Mid Coast Water said, “This year the list of organisations to gain sponsorship is varied-and we are particularly pleased that many of the programs are about providing long term community benefit.”

In total forty six community organisations received shares of the $44,000 in funding.

The whole region thanks MidCoast Water for their assistance and without funding, many of our regional charities and clubs would not be able to continue their charitable work.
