The achievements of our young people were celebrated in front of family and friends, wishing the students all the very best as they begin the Higher School Certificate, and embark on their post-schooling plans.

Thirteen years of schooling have come to an end for Year 12 students who graduated this week.

Irrawang High School representative, Luella Fagan, told News Of The Area, “It was a day of laughs, tears and successes as we celebrated their achievements over the past six years at Irrawang High.”

With their Year 12 Advisor Ms Sheriff’s assistance, the school leaders led a well organised assembly and proved how far these outstanding students have come.

In his Principal’s address Mr Baxter urged the students to recognise their potential and make the most of every opportunity.

The Year 12 CAPA students for the final time paid tribute to CAPA teachers Mrs Rembarz and Ms Robinson as well as their other teachers for their encouragement and support over the years.

A well earned congratulations goes to Medowie’s own Taylah Parker on achieving Dux of the Year, well deserved for such a hard working young lady.

Another fantastic effort saw the Year 11 hospitality students catering the event, with everyone enjoying delicious canapes, slices and cake made from scratch.

Luella reminded the Irrawang High School year 12 students, “Many of your teachers are coming in over the holidays to help you prepare for your HSC so please take advantage of their assistance.”

“We are there for you every step of the way.”

To all Year 12 students, we wish you every success in whatever you choose to do, and good luck to you all for your HSC.
