WHEN one of the Myall U3A art group members suggested creating artworks that can be combined into a large collage, once everyone could meet again, Sonja Ridden decided to have a bit of fun with the subject matter.

Sonja Ridden is U3A secretary, member of the art group as well as member of Gallery in the Gardens. Ms Ridden greatly values a ‘sense of fun’.

After feeling lost and displaced for a number of years following her and her husband’s move to what then was a very quiet Hawks Nest, she slowly rediscovered her sense of fun and feelings of joy whilst wielding a paint brush.

Since then Ms Ridden has been busy making up for lost time and can mostly be found behind an easel.
