Known for her artistic food flair, we have the pleasure of having Amanda Douglass Catering providing a culinary delight for our main meal.

The highlight of the event will be an auction and raffle, with items such as an Oscar De la Renta dress, 4 nights and 5 days in Paris, accommodation for seven people at “Sea Pearl” Corlette, a beachfront home.

A magnificent private cruise for 10 people on the “Hells Bells” a 105ft Yacht in Sydney Harbour is yet another auction item that is set to impress at this exciting fundraising event.
Tickets are $100 each with only 200 tickets available.

“We have some wonderful donations of prizes to raffle and auction and this day promises to be wonderful,” Judy Mitchell President of the Nelson Bay Rotary Club told Bay News Of The Area.

“It is a lovely opportunity to enjoy a beautiful lunch together in a wonderful venue, whilst helping others in our local community,” Ms Mitchell said.

This promises to be not only a day with a difference but a day to make a difference in the lives of others.
Nelson Bay Rotary Club join forces with Port Stephen’s Women’s Crisis and Support Group (PSWCS) for this wonderful event.

The Port Stephen’s Women’s Crisis and Support Group was formed over twenty years ago due to the lack of housing for local women who had suffered domestic violence.

A cottage was kindly donated and a further two units built later for the use of these women who were in dire need of housing, giving them a time for recovery both financially and psychologically.

PSWCS has a DA for three more units to house the growing number of women in need.

Only having received a partial funding grant from Community Building Partnerships, there is still a huge need for more finances to get this project to its completion stage.

This fundraising event will make a huge contribution to the building of these three units.

Special thanks must be made to Karen Shaw and the hospitality students of Tomaree High School who will make a major contribution to this beautiful day.
