THERE are not many people that make it their 100th Birthday and even fewer that make it to 105, yet local Fingal Haven resident Cyril Blowes will be celebrating his on 4 April.

As milestones go Cyril and his wife Patti have shared a few.

They have also celebrated an amazing 77 years of married life together.

The couple have been members of the Probus Club of Port Stephens for many years although they are now non active members.

President of the Port Stephens Probus Club who attended the couple’s 77th wedding anniversary told News Of The Area, “Cyril has been a member of the club for nearly all of its 35 years and five years ago there was a big morning tea bash for his 100th Birthday where he was crowned Prince of Probus!”

Cyril and Patti were still attending Probus meetings and luncheons with Patti up until 2016.

“He is still as sharp as a tack with his very amusing stories, insight into life and amazing memory.

They are now living at Harbourside Haven, at Shoal Bay and it is great to see them so settled and happy” she said.

The Shoal Bay couple are all set to celebrate the landmark birthday.
