LAST Friday we lost a special person from Bulahdelah.

I think nearly everyone knew ‘Shakey Mike’. I just wanted to say I have known him at least 10 years and I didn’t even know his last name until he recently went to hospital.

Which I needed to know to visit him in hospital.

To me I didn’t need to know his last name, his life history or anything personal about him.

He was a gentleman, thoughtful and he loved his ride on mower! When he went to hospital he took the keys to it so no one could use it.

Also his model boats he loved and I don’t think they ever got wet!!

I will always remember ‘Shakey’ Mike, what you see is what you got! A real true down to earth person, no frills!!
