NSW SES Vertical Rescue specialty crews were tasked to reports of a lady who had fallen approximately eight metres off Sawtell Lookout Headland on Sunday.

Seven members responded and assisted NSW Ambulance to carry out the patient.

Vertical Rescue is just one General Land Rescue (GLR) specialty that Coffs Harbour SES are responsible for across the Coffs Coast.

This wrapped up a busy weekend for the crews with several GLR responses, including a complex extrication of an injured man who fell onto a cruiser moored at Coffs Harbour Marina.

Crews worked closely with paramedics to ensure the safest method for patient protection during a challenging operation lasting around an hour.
