Sawtell Golf Club member wins back-to-back All Abilities titles

Cameron Pollard celebrates his win in Victoria.

CAMERON Pollard has been on a real hot streak on the greens.

The Sawtell Golf Club member won two straight All Abilities titles on the Webex Players Series.

Pollard won the inaugural TPS All Abilities event at the TPS Victoria tournament at Rosebud Country Club.

He won the title by 13 shots after shooting rounds of 77 and 81 in the 36-hole tournament, as the Webex Players Series added tournaments for golfers with disability for the first time.

He said playing alongside the pros in a televised event was the best part of playing at the TBS Victoria event.

“It’s bloody awesome, we don’t get to play in front of crowds and be on television very often, so when we can we try and show them what we can do,” he said.

“The best part of it is being up against the pros and showing everyone how we play.”

Pollard kept up his top form in Victoria winning his second consecutive All Abilities championship, taking out the TPS Murray River tournament at Cobram Barooga Golf Club.

Australia’s top-ranked golfer with a disability, Pollard’s two victories kicked off a big month as he also took part in last week’s Victoria Open competing in the Victorian Inclusive Championship, and was set to take part in the TPS Sydney and TPS Hunter Valley events.

Pollard had a successful tournament in the Victorian Inclusive Championship, finishing runner up with rounds of 81 and 78.
