Santa swaps sleigh for surf boat as Nippers celebrate Christmas

LAST Sunday the Nippers of Macksville Scotts Head Surf Life Saving Club enjoyed a Christmas party fun day.

The kids were kept busy with beach and water activities, a monster toy raffle, a giant blow up pontoon, a BBQ and a surprise visit from Santa, who swapped his sleigh and reindeers for a surf boat for the day.

“The Nippers have been learning surf and beach safety through a fun program and competition each Sunday, with ages ranging from five to fourteen years,” said Dereck Patton, Macksville Scotts Head Surf Life Saving Club.

“These children are our lifesavers of the future and if their enthusiasm and love of the beach continues then our community is in safe hands.”
